What does this mean, and what should I do?
When Mobile Controls can’t reach your child’s phone, it means the phone can’t be locked and the phone activity will not update in the application. To regain connection, check the following:
- Open the web application or Android application. Does the app say the phone can’t be reached? If not, Mobile Controls has automatically reconnected, and you don’t need to do anything else.
- Make sure the phone is on and has coverage. If the phone is off or out of coverage for more than 24 hours, connection to the phone will be lost. If the phone is intentionally off or out of coverage, don’t worry! Mobile Controls will regain the connection automatically when it is powered back on.
- If the application says your child’s phone can’t be reached and the phone is powered on with coverage, then Safely Family Utility must be reinstalled on the phone.
How do I reinstall Safely Family Utility?
To reinstall Safely Family Utility, open the Android or web application (http://mobilecontrols.sprint.com/signIn.htm), sign in, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Safely Family Utility, and then open the application.
